Welcome to SLAA Companion. By accessing or using the SLAA Companion mobile application, website, or related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SLAA Companion provides digital tools to support individuals in Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous recovery, including sobriety tracking, daily reflections, meeting discovery, step work journaling, and community features. The Service is intended as a supplementary recovery resource.

3. Not a Substitute for Professional Help

SLAA Companion is not a medical device, therapy service, or crisis intervention tool. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a qualified mental health professional immediately. The app is designed to complement — not replace — professional care, sponsor relationships, and in-person meeting attendance.

4. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

5. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

6. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. By using the Service, you grant SLAA Companion a limited license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will never share your personal recovery content with third parties.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SLAA Companion and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. SLAA Companion does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We make no guarantees regarding recovery outcomes or the accuracy of any content provided through the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SLAA Companion and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the date below. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
